FedEx and UPS fake Email — Just DON’T open.

‘Tis the season for gift ordering on line in a big way, with many people expecting deliveries it’s no surprise that malicious actors will try to infect computers by sending an email referencing that your package cannot be delivered and to click attachment for details. JUST DON’T open any attachments unless you have thoroughly vetted the sender of the email, be aware by checking the verbiage of the email – is it broken English or odd sentence structure that just seems off? If so be cautious the attachment referenced is more than likely a virus, also check the origin of the email, hover over or right click the senders email address to view the actual sending address is legit. Best case is to never open the email to begin with and check original tracking number via senders website, there would be no reason for them to be sending you any attachment—-stay safe!
